6 Days / 5 Nights Camel Trekking & Hiking in the White Desert

Day 1: Cairo to Bahariya Oasis

Your journey begins with a private, air-conditioned transfer from Cairo to Bahariya Oasis, covering roughly 370 km in about four hours. After checking in and enjoying lunch at a local lodge, spend the afternoon visiting the oasis’s palm groves and English Mountain before returning for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Into the Black Desert and Toward Agabat Valley

Head out to the Black Desert, known for its volcanic, iron-rich hills, with a stop at Mount Marsous. After lunch in El-Haiz village, continue roughly 160 km deeper into the desert, stopping at Crystal Mountain and meeting the camel team that will guide you for the coming days. The day ends with camping and dinner under the stars in Agabat Valley.

Day 3: Camel Trek to the White Desert

After breakfast, mount your camel for a scenic ride through the dunes toward Magic Spring, where you can rest, drink tea, and let the camels recover. From there, continue into the New White Desert, arriving in time to watch the sunset paint the chalk formations gold before a barbecue dinner and a second night of desert camping.

Day 4: Small Valley Trek

Continue your camel journey to the Small Valley, a quiet, scenic stretch of desert perfect for a relaxed lunch stop. Return to camp in the afternoon to unwind before dinner.

Day 5: Exploring the White Desert

Spend the day discovering the White Desert’s famous chalk-white sculptures, shaped by millions of years of wind erosion into mushroom rocks and wind-carved towers. Watch another desert sunset before spending your final night camping beneath the stars.

Day 6: Return to Cairo

After breakfast, begin the drive back to Cairo, arriving with memories and photographs of one of Egypt’s most distinctive landscapes.
